DVDĪlien was first released on DVD on Jin North America and in the UK. Some of the extras from this set were found later on the Alien Legacy but it wasn’t until the Alien Quadrilogy, that the rest of the features were ported over.
The bonus features were presented in a slideshow format and consisted of a lot of text documentation but there were photos and video clips too. It was a 3-Disc set of the Theatrical version along with some bonus features. Alien: Special Edition was released in North America on October 8, 1992.
